General Election – The Party’s Over

rotate mirror2Many of us are disillusioned and distrustful of politicians who have broken election promises. Many of us are tired of failed party politics where the parties and not the people seem to come first. We are tired of the political parties who promise one thing and deliver another.  Many of us are worse off in terms of income and employment than in 2011 not to mention a decade ago in 2006. Families in particular have been hardest hit, many are working in the public sector, many are self employed or working in small to medium sized enterprises. We know what it is to struggle to pay bills and the numerous sacrifices we have made to keep businesses surviving. We know how financial stress and hardship lead to numerous difficulties and place a real burden on families. We have seen thousands of our children and young adults forced to emigrate. We have lost an entire generation causing great heartache for parents who are separated by long distances.

From 2009 – 2013 In the past four years, over 300,000 people have emigrated from Ireland; 40% were aged between 15 and 24.

It is time to have a socially just society where people are at the centre, where it pays to work, where services deliver in terms of health, education and law enforcement, ensuring people can live without fear in their urban and rural communities. It’s time to abolish unjust taxes, property tax, the USC and water charges.

It’s time to stand up for integrity in political life, to protect life equality by upholding constitutional protection for the unborn and to support the family.

We need to be able to put our trust in people who have integrity and are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in. It’s time to elect more Independents who put people, and not the party, first.

Let’s make 2016 The Year for Independents

Say No to Tokenism and Elect Women on their Merit.

Vote No. 1 Mary Fitzgibbon

We need a Strong Independent Voice for Women, Mothers and Families in the Kingdom.
